The Town of Loches is a must see cobbled streets lots of history and a market every wednesday morning brimming with local produce along with lots of shops and cafe's . 30min's

Beauval Zoo Park is one of the best zoo's in europe, 45 min's ,and well worth a visit

The magical Bellebouche is 15 min's from Jay Lake, 100 hectare beach lake which has pedalo's, kayak's, restaurant, swimming, mini golf & horse riding, as well as beautiful walks through the Domain

There are lots of very good local restaurants to cater for all tastes. A typical 3 to 4 course lunch including wine is 12 to 16 euro's per head

These are just a few idears and under an hour to get to, the large city's of Tour, Limoges & Poitiers are about one and a half hours away but are all great for History sight seeing & shopping
